In Nelsonville, Martha Breeze pleads not guilty to assault and battery after allegedly stabbing her husband Harry Breeze with a corkscrew and a can opener. He testified and was punctured on chest and side, while the couple’s case goes to the grand jury under a $100 bond for Martha.
Deputy Roy Goldsberry charged that a Trumbull County deputy sheriff protected Harry C. Thomas from arrest on a paternity charge for several months. Thomas, father of an illegitimate child in Nelsonville, was living near Girard. Warrants failed. Sheriff Charlies Stratton and Deputy Goldsberry arrested him in Girard. In Probate Court Judge 8. M. Johnson fined Thomas $1 and costs, suspended on condition he pay weekly child support.

Captain H L Bowdoin ordered trawlers Sea Gull and Sea Rambler to defend the Merida wreck of 1911 and sought a court injunction against John Hall and Klass Ewart. Indictments name Cecil Meyers, Harry Meyers, Edward H. Siler, Emil Morehouse and others for conspiracy to make and possess counterfeit bills. Additional counts charge making counterfeit ten dollar gold certificates and possessing such certificates.
Conservators of 66 state banks appointed by State Banking Superintendent Ira J. Fulton were ordered to immediately determine if any bank personnel withdrew unusual funds before deposit restrictions and whether criminal code violations occurred. If violations are found, refer to county prosecutors.
A special Senate committee in Columbus opened to investigate banking policy. Senator L. L. Marshall of Cleveland chairs the panel created to assess past banking statutes and seek changes to safeguard the public, including stricter regulation of banks and limiting bankers to banking.

Urbana report states Henry Cost III aged 11 died from a blood clot on the head after a fall at Rosewood rural school. He was a sixth grade student and son of Mr and Mrs Henry Cost. The death was attributed to the head injury by physicians.

Changchun Manchuria April 12 10 The Manchurian representative delivered an ultimatum to Moscow over the joint Chinese Eastern Railway demanding the return of confiscated rolling stock within a month The note calls for R1 locomotives 190 carriages and 320 freight cars seized by the Soviet Government and refuses to restore them to Manchurian service
