Mrs. Sarah Edith Sprague died at her West Washington Street home in Athens on Wednesday afternoon. Aged 83, she was born June 27, 1848 in Dover Township, mother of six with five surviving children in Athens. Funeral at 2 p.m. Friday, burial at West Union Street Cemetery. Friends may call before 10 a.m. Friday. She attended Mt. Auburn College and Franklin College and was long a member of the Church of Christ. Her husband L. A. Sprague was active in educational work and they lived on a farm between Reynoldsburg and Truro before moving to Athens in 1906. Her life spanned local history and she left numerous friends and descendants.
