Alexander senior Lukas Thompson tossed a three hit shutout with nine strikeouts to seal a 2-0 victory over Athens in a frigid TVC Ohio pitchers duel. Buffalo jumped to a 7 0 lead and held Ohio to six hits as UB defeated the Bobcats 9 3 in the opener of a three game MAC series at Bob Wren Stadium. Vinny Mallaro Mike Abrunzo and Kyle Brennan each had two hits and two RBIs to pace the Bulls while Ohio starter Jake Miller took the loss.
