Berkey native builds ECE department at Hocking College
Jennifer Creque Blackburn, a native of Berkey, Ohio, moved to Athens County in 2013 after marrying Keller Blackburn. She studied marine science then early childhood education, now teaches ECE and ESL at Hocking College as the department’s sole full-time faculty, and is creating an ECE Department resource room. She notes Athens County’s sunny winter days, adds Pleasant Hill Winery and Athens Uncorked as local surprises, and chafes at self-centered, disrespectful, and credit-stealing behavior.
