Rev W H Faust preached on Sleeping in Sin at West End Baptist with Rev A J Smith, pastor. A large crowd from Ogletorpe county came to town to hear him, showing his usefulness in ministry. The Judgment is the theme tonight at the usual hour.

Arthur Clifton of this city achieved a remarkable haul at the Georgia Carolina Fair poultry show taking First pen Black Orpingtons First pullet Second pullet Fourth pullet Second cockerel and more in a field of top breeders from the south, north and east. The Augusta show ranks among the nation’s most important poultry events each fall and will be followed by Athens Southern Poultry Association shows as scores of exhibitors bring birds to the Athens show next month.
Yesterday morning Jesse Griffeth assaulted fellow prisoner George Watkins in the city jail after drunken disorderly conduct. Griffeth paid fines for drunkenness and disorderly behavior, then beat Watkins while he slept, and set fire to bedding in the jail, resulting in additional penalties.
Yesterday two boys from prominent Oglethorpe families, Raymond Colquit 15 and Holman Moore 12, rode into Athens in a buggy with two mules. They tried to sell the team and flee to South Georgia to buy a farm, but police, alerted by their parents, intervened and escorted them home.
A large family occupied an entire side of a S. A. L. and Southern street car yesterday morning, with seventeen five cent fares collected. The middle-aged man and wife, mother-in-law, married daughter, and numerous children carried nine suitcases. They exited at Broad Street, heading to a Central of Georgia depot bound for a rented farm in south Georgia, as the man said he would not buy until after a year.
An itinerant school for McRae Georgia is being planned by The State College of Agriculture, outlining proposed itinerant teaching work. The notice notes collaboration between local authorities and the college to organize unassigned education services for the area.

Judge Newman's district court heard moonshine cases as defendants from northern counties faced internal revenue violations. Several pleaded guilty while others were found guilty and sentenced to jail terms in a steady, statewide session yesterday.

Game Warden E S Price named deputies for Clarke County after appointment by State Game and Fish Warden Jesse Mercer. For the 216th district Mr James R Williams is named to oversee the town district while other districts receive a bailiff as commissioner. The appointed constables are well known and already active in public life.
Harold Price of the University of Georgia will perform daily at Embree's Cafe on Clayton Street. He recently gave a unique solo on the tuba, accompanying himself on piano with his left hand and horn keyed with his right. Hours are listed for each weekday and Saturday, highlighting his claim to play any instrument.
