Atlanta's female Raffles nabbed in porch burglary tale
In Atlanta on May 2 Minnie Lewis a twenty-year-old Black girl posed as a clever thief nicknamed the female Raffles. She entered Mrs Ballard's home on Alice street stole a pocketbook while residents searched for a man under the bed and was captured by officers Lindsay and Hulsey. The incident suggests possible similar burglaries linked to Atlanta's so called female Raffles.
