Ot Prof Phil Campbell state agent of cars clubs and farm demonstration work has received a telegram from Bradford Knapp Southern agent of farm demonstration work Washington stating that the trip to bull weevil territory by some of the Georgia Farm Demonstration agents has been deferred till the latter part of August. Commissioner J D Price and assistant Mr Hughes State Entomologist I E Worsham and others plan to join the scouting party to observe weevil attack and methods of combat.

Mrs Sue Lampkin dies after illness at 75 in city
Mrs. Sue Lampkin aged 75 died last night at her Dougherty street home after weeks of illness. Survived by daughter Mrs. C. S. Simmons of Birmingham and several relatives, with services at Oconee cemetery this evening at five led by Rev. J. W. Lynch and Rev. Troy Beatty. Pallbearers named as Fred Davis Cobb Davis H S West Cobb Lampkin J Hutchins G C Thomas Ben A Crane M M Arnold. Born in 1838 near Lexington she joined the Baptist church young and remained active member. She graduated from LaGrange Female College and aided the needy with clothing and sympathy.

Mallory reports favorable crop outlook after Greenville trip
Mr W A Mallory returned from Greenville Meriwether county where he spent days with relatives. He traveled by automobile and found crops generally favorable with some short strips. Between here and Atlanta crops were splendid and Merriwether county produced exceptionally fine yields. Farmers are encouraged about prospects for a prosperous fall season.

Committee Hearings Call For County Commissioner Election Debate
