No Action Taken On Commissioners Measure Before Legislature
Special to the Banner. Atlanta July 25 The house committee on counties and county matters heard Clarke county delegations on the Rhodes local bill to abolish the county board of roads and revenues and elect commissioners by popular vote. Rhodes pressed a plan to submit the issue to a county vote with a proposed amendment. Opponents included Rep Lipscomb, Hugh H Gordon and Athens Mayor Hugh J Rowe. The committee heard both sides and deferred action until next Wednesday.

Bitten by Unknown Insect Foretold Her Death in Georgia
In Commerce Georgia Miss Drew Nunn daughter of G J L Nunn near Commerce was bitten by a poisonous insect last Thursday. She predicted her death, spoke of her coffin and burial songs, and died within seven hours. Interment followed at Mt Olive with Rev H E Hardman officiating.

Dr L Rylee Dies at Bogart Ga Funeral Held Today
Dr R L Rylee died after several weeks illness in Bogart Ga near midnight. He was midlife, well respected, and left a wife and three children, plus brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held at the local church this afternoon conducted by Mr Kimsey. The community mourns a devoted physician with ties to Athens and numerous friends.
