In Lexington Georgia at 11 30 am yesterday former Sheriff George J Cunningham shot George Brooks in the left side with a seliat wound after a quarrel in the clerk of the Superior Court office. Brooks was taken to hospital, Cunningham is home and recovering. both men are well known locals with long county ties.
