Georgia to elect two constables in Clarke County districts

Clarke County voters will elect two constables in each militia district on December third. The statewide practice follows a code amendment mandating two legal bailiffs per district every two years. Candidates may submit names to Col. John B. Gamble, chairman of the county Democratic Executive Committee.

Four Indicted in Williams Murder Case on Circus Train

Lexington S C November 30 Roy Rich a circus employee on the Hagenback Wallace train was found guilty of assault with intent to kill and robbery in the Williams murder case. The trial paralleled earlier verdicts against other suspects and Rich testified of illness and poverty claims while denying the fatal charges. The case featured testimonies from wagon workers and a Southern agent and ended with a verdict of guilty.
