Rural Carriers Work Ahead of National Meet in Atlanta
Statesboro Georgia August 20 In an interview with George DeBrosse president of the State Rural Letter Carriers Association he praised growing interest and outlined plans for September to organize counties and showcase Georgia as the banner state for the upcoming National Rural Letter Carriers convention to be held October 11 in Atlanta. He noted easier recruitment now than a year ago and highlighted efforts including a proposed assembly at the house of representatives. The Augusta carriers planned a Labor Day program with a Lake View Park barbecue and speeches featuring Congressman Hardwick. The piece also covers general health notices and local ads.
