A Chesapeake and Ohio passenger train crossing a half of a Potomac bridge draw near Washington derailed as the northern half gave way. The tender and a baggage car plunged, a supporting girder prevented greater loss, Fireman John Woods was injured, and the train was returned to Washington. No fatalities reported.

Raid on large city craps game nets six white players
Sheriff Woodruff and Deputies LeGrande and Hubbard raided a major craps game north of the city yesterday afternoon. About forty people were present, both white and black, but six white players were captured while others fled. The officers found a watch, hat, cap, and dice left behind.

Harris Captured in Abbeville Slaying Case
Abbeville, Oct 19. Chief Ball of Atlanta and Officer Rosser identified John Harris as the killer of Policeman Hans Drasbach at the Abbeville station. Harris was captured on the Farguson place near Abbeville by Sheriff Lyon, Officer Johns on, and McClane. He confessed to the crime.

Veteran printer G H Livingston dies at 64 in Anniston
G H Livingston, longtime Anniston printer and Evening Star employee, died at 4 AM after weeks of illness. A Confederate veteran, he belonged to Camp Treh ham UCV and the Anniston Typographical Union. He leaves a wife and three children. Funeral was held this afternoon at 8 from his residence with burial in Edgewood Cemetery.
