Hanged Negro Dies in Religious Fervor
Special to the Star Chicago October 12 Daniel Francis a negro hanged here today died in a state of religious fervor. Francis on October 28 1903 killed his wife and Mrs Dora Scroggs partners in an establishment on Cottage Grove avenue and also injured his 8 month old son who was in his mother's arms. Francis had been separated from his family for some time and had been drinking heavily before the crime.
