W B Kilgore a 24 year old lineman from Weavers was killed at East Thomas near Birmingham when an electric light pole fell crushing his skull and breaking his back. He worked in the East Thomas Furnace electrical department and the body will be carried to Weavers tomorrow morning.

Major Samuel W. Hay Killed in Pittsburg Fall
Major Samuel W. Hay, a Civil and Spanish American War veteran and longtime Pittsburg resident, died instantly after falling from the Arrott building’s fourth floor elevator shaft to the basement. He served as commissary on staffs of Generals Young Davis and Wheeler and led the Second Division of the Fourth Army Corps at Camp Shipp. His death is mourned by many friends.

Chicago move says five killed and twenty five injured after collision between a Wisconsin Central passenger train leaving Chicago and a Fortys third avenue street car at Fifty second avenue.
