A Retail Clerks association committee in Anniston announces early closing for a list of merchants starting May 20 at 6 p m. No sales after that hour except Saturday nights. The move, common in summers here, aims to shorten hours for workers and give them rest while not burdening buyers.
Miss Alma Cohn will sing on June 25 and July dates of the Chautauqua program. Miss Carolyn Cohn will play on June 28 and 29 and July 1 0. The return of Miss Anna Cohn to St Michael's church during the Chautauqua recalls last year’s singing with pleasure.
Special Correspondence Bear Ten May 12 reports two deaths in the Nances Creek valley. Mrs. Nat Cameron died of consumption on the 9th.
