Change in Music House Ahead of Merger

Coffee and Courage on a Civil War Sojourn
A veteran recounts riding with a mule and a bag of coffee through hostile countryside to reach home. He paroled prisoners in Charlotte, swapped the mule for a better one, and spent a night with a hungry old woman who fed him coffee and ham. The tale ends with the woman savoring ginny wine coffee while the veteran continues his march home.
