Mr KC Watson and Miss Annie Gell Hart will marry at 7 o'clock this evening at the bride’s grandmother Mrs Hardin’s home corner Thirteenth Street and Wilmer Avenue. Rev H C Howard of First Methodist will perform the ceremony. Afterward the couple will depart for several days of travel.

Miller Drug Co advertises Foley's Kidney Cure claiming to cure Brights Disease diabetes stone in bladder and general kidney and bladder diseases. The claim presents a medical remedy for multiple conditions with emphasis on its curative powers.

In Kokomo Indiana on August 14 a Stoward County school teacher Will Richardson and Rockbridge Illinois Miss Lydia Beedle wed after two years of correspondence begun from a cake recipe in a St Louis paper. Richardson requested a sample cake and the gifted confection sparked a romance.

Jerry Logan, 60, janitor for the state supreme court, signed away his liberty to Gerald Stuart, clerk of the court, for 1900 dollars. He agrees to serve as master and obey Stuart until his death to settle debts. Logan, once a slave, had white friends from the old regime.
