A Lake Theater show last night drew hearty applause with two new and clever performers making a hit. The slack wire act by Le Verne and a swinging trapeze routine impressed the crowd, while the moving pictures “A Trip to the Moon” added to the night’s appeal. Vocalists Allen Lingard Ray Knight Fiske and Rayfield offered strong song and dance numbers and jokes kept encores flowing.
Tomorrow’s game at Oxford Lake features Oxford versus Piedmont with Halsey and Donahoo as key players. Pitchers Turk and Wilkerson lead Piedmont and Anniston alums anticipate a large crowd with 25 cent round trip fares from Anniston and 20 cents from Oxford.

At the Anniston Typographical union No. 419 last meeting the secretary was urged to push merchants and business leaders to use the union label on all stationery and printed matter. Union men are urged to demand the label on their papers. J. H. Church President. John Fitzgerald Secretary.

Effective October 7 the Choctaw Route will operate three trains daily between Memphis and Hot Springs Ark. The service expands to double daily to India and Oklahoma Territories with connections to Southwest Missouri Kansas Texas and the West.
An advertisement for Dr Hobbs asparagus pills claims cures for kidney issues with a free sample offer. Sterling Remedy Co lists Chicago and other locations while promoting laundry services from Anniston Steam Laundry and The Model Laundry on Noble Street and 12th Street.
