The 18th Silver Bow County Teachers Institute ended at Columbia Gardens after an informal session. Miss Mary Mullins urged broad education and professional training, stressing individuality and constant preparation for teachers. In Silver Bow county many corporations must file annual capital stock, asset and liability reports within 20 days after September 1. Only one firm, a Butte mercantile company, has complied. In Chicago on September 12 a meeting between Chairman Job of the state board of arbitration and Swift & Co. representatives yielded all union demands except reinstatement of two insubordinate workers. The two men are expected back Monday. Meat delivery from the Swift plant has been severely reduced during the two days of the strike.

Helen F. Barnett, traveling southbound California express between Portland and Ashland, reported jewels and diamonds valued at 4000 dollars stolen from her berth last night. She described the missing gems to Ashland officials and continued to San Francisco.
Topeka reports County Attorney Nicholas ordered the arrest of Charles Bradshaw, a Bedwell private asylum attendant, on a charge he beat 93 year old patient Jacob R. Hynerson. Bradshaw says Hynerson was vicious and attacked him.
