A historical reflection on the earth’s motion, the Sun’s apparent size, and the three journeys we undertake: daily rotation, annual orbit, and travel through stellar space. It discusses triangulation and parallax, the meaning of diagrams, and how ellipses and axial tilt create seasons. The piece cites Keller and Browning, then shifts to a Boston Post critique about courts and justice.
