Cotton receipts in Cordele market totals 9600 bales

Cordele Georgia October 19 reports show cotton receipts in all warehouses reaching 9600 bales to date. Estimates from warehouses place marketed proportions between 70 and 75 percent. Proceedings note that due to excess rainfall in June and July and a long drought in August and September, the crop size is about 65 to 70 percent of an average year.

Re-arrested as he stepped from penitentiary

Special report from Times-Recorder notes Abraham Eby alias Adam Smith released from the federal penitentiary in Atlanta on October 19 and immediately re-arrested on an indictment alleging he plotted to blow up the Norfolk and Western railroad tracks for a $25,000 payoff.
