Atlanta October 12 The Uncle Remus memorial fund gains another boost as the Ladies Association anticipates a 13.2 gift from Andrew Carnegie. Carnegie admired Joel Chandler Harris as did Theodore Roosevelt whose contribution helped the memorial fund net $4,500. The group hopes Carnegie will follow Roosevelt’s example to aid the project.
