More than $250,000 worth of Southwest Georgia lands were sold through the Atlanta Trust company. Highlights include the 667 acre Lowry place near Plains fetching between $45,000 and $50,000 and a Lee county property at about $75,000. The Rhyne brothers of Benton Alabama bought the Lowry tract and will cotton farm it, with either Claude or Brady Rhyne moving to supervise.
