King victim of auto accident near Andersonville
Robert L. King, traveling salesman for Case-Fowler Lumber Co. of Macon, died when his car overturned on the Dixie Highway near Andersonville in Sumter County. Found at about 7 am, coroner Ed Jenkins impaneled a jury as investigators probed the death. King, a Preston native, left Americus Thursday and was en route to Leesburg when the crash occurred likely due to skidding. He leaves a widow Lois King and two daughters Marion and Frances, plus a sister Bessie Cook of Plains and brothers Joe of Macon and John of Atlanta.
