On or about July 15 I will remove my stock unsold to the Americus Jewelry Company store at 421 Jack Street. Buyers can get Dry Goods, Cloth Shoes, Hats, Gents Furnishings at low prices. It is easier to sell than move, so we offer inducements and cheap rates to clear these goods.

In Lownox Kentucky near Begtown Clay County Chris Jackson brother in law of Tom Baker was ambushed at night. Two armed men with a shotgun and a revolver fired. Jackson was wounded in the right thigh and back but recoverable. He rode Bowling's horse and hoped to pursue the attackers, mistakingly suspected as Bowling.
