I plan to move about July 15 and liquidate my stock of dry goods clothing shoes hats and furnishings now housed at 421 Jackson Street. This is a clearance sale with inducements and low prices as the goods must be sold or moved.
The sale advertises Standard Shirtloge prints and Se qual fabrics, figures in Batiste and Percales, Imperial Organdle top, Dimtties, Cordette, PK fabrics, White Welt Pl and Liver Star Madras. Prices are cash only with steep discounts per yard, while charged purchases revert to regular prices. Named fabrics include Ginghams, Hamburg Edging, and various Checks and Stripes.
Gents Furnishing Goods announces a sale with 5 ply linen collars and a broad assortment of neckwear offered at substantial reductions. Many items like Tecks Puds band bow ties and neg ligee shirts are highlighted with drastic price cuts and a move to a new store. Si Smith, Habersham County farmer who killed William Bell in April, was shot in his jail cell by masked assailants under Sheriff Munday’s watch. The mob entered by posing as a jailer, fired on Smith, and vanished. Bell, a Atlanta commercial traveler, died after a heavy club attack.

Roy Sutton is under arrest for allegedly shooting his sweetheart Leona Elmore and then wounding himself. A search party found Elmore’s body in a city camp. Sutton, not cooperating, is believed to have killed her after a dispute over marriage prospects.
The North Carolina corporation commission overruled all exceptions by the Southern, Atlantic Coast Line and Seaboard Air Line to a recent rate increase, leaving the nearly ten million dollar uplift in value intact. The Atlantic and Yadkin railway valuation was cut per mile, while East Tennessee and the Western North Carolina railway saw a reduction.
