Rotary Club asks Sumter schools restore negro funding
The Americas Rotary Club urges the Sumter County Board of Education to readjust the budget for negro schools to match or improve on last year. The resolution notes cuts to salaries 6 months terms and loss of Rosenwald and Jeanes programs, warning of unrest and labor impact on farms. A committee will deliver the measure to the board next Tuesday.
