Americus teen killed in hunting accident at farm woods
Herbert Morris Tye, 16, of Americus, was killed instantly when a gun discharged while he and relatives rested by a spring during a hunting trip near Ellaville road. He had studied at Americus High School and resided with his parents in Brooklyn Heights. Funeral planned Friday at 3 PM with burial in Oak Grove. Surviving are parents, four brothers and five sisters.
