Mrs Ida M Chitwood publishes selected recipes from her cook book in Amarillo. This week India Salad uses tomatoes asparagus beet and peppers served on lettuce with Indian dressing. Baked fillets of haddock with fat salt pork onion bay leaf butter and cracker crumbs bakes 20 minutes at 400 degrees then browns with lemon and tomato garnish.
Recipe notes mix 2 egg whites 1 cup sugar teaspoon vanilla 1 cup cocoanut 2 cups corn flakes 44 cup chopped nuts. Beat whites to stiff peaks add sugar then vanilla coconut corn flakes and nuts. Drop spoonfuls on buttered pan and bake in a moder.
