A 47th district court jury yesterday afternoon gave Emile A. LaGrand and Ramie L. West five year suspended sentences after pleas of guilty to theft. They admitted taking three suitcases from Joyce Bay at the Plains Hotel.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Flovin aged 73 who died yesterday at her daughter Mrs. O L Lindsey’s home in Sunray will be at 2 30 PM Saturday at Sunray Baptist Church. Interment in Dumas Cemetery under Boxwell Brothers direction. Surviving relatives include five brothers besides the daughter.
A. E. Herrman will broadcast a Columbus Day address tomorrow afternoon on Radio KGNC. The Knights of Columbus sponsor the 15 minute program, set to begin at 4 45 in the afternoon.
Tickets for the Southernaires concert on November 7 are sold by the American Legion Auxiliary Hanson Post 54 to fund a charitable cause. M D Eagle, 63, farmer of Panhandle, died in Northwest Texas hospital with services at 2 PM Saturday at Panhandle Methodist Church. Clark Downs, 76, former grocer and hotel operator, died at his Panhandle home with funeral 2:30 PM Sunday at Panhandle Methodist Church.
