Krug to visit Amarillo on official mission

Borgan Injured in Crash Through Wall

In Borger yesterday afternoon Clarence Walker was seriously injured when a car driven by Charles Bynum failed to turn from Main Street to Second Avenue. The vehicle struck a light standard, toppled drums, and drove into the Borger Herald building four feet above ground, damaging the structure and stock. estimated loss $3,000 to $5,000.

Man Killed In Highway Crash Near Four-Way North Of Amarillo

Marvin C. Lee of Dumas died in an ambulance on the way to the Veterans Hospital in Amarillo after a solo-vehicle crash on the Dumas Amarillo highway near Four-Way. The 1940 Chevrolet overturned after leaving the pavement. Lee, a WWI veteran and proprietor of a Dumas paint and wallpaper store, was pronounced dead shortly before arrival. Funeral arrangements are pending with Boxwell Brothers in Dumas.

Coyote Attacks Harlingen Man Over Leg

Harlingen, Oct 14. John Osborne, a local hotel operator, was attacked by a coyote in downtown Harlingen. Patrolman Charlie Reece shot the animal after a struggle over the leg ended with the coyote's death. Osborne retains his leg but complains of the ordeal.
