OPA Not Surprised At Action by Grain Dealers
Fort Worth story notes E B Holloway district OPA director calls Panhandle Grain Dealers Association scoring of OPA partial and biased unsurprising. He recalls a suit filed last month seeking damages over 606000 dollars for sale of 14 million pounds of mile grain above ceiling price to a large national distiller. Holloway questions why dealers claim OPA is not effectively enforced while 73 percent of consumers favor continued price controls despite trade associations urging removal.
