One of 19 Americans Fights On in RAF After War Ticket
Royal Air Force veteran Scotty Cooke 33 remains in a British hospital nine months after joining 19 men who paid their own way to fight the Axis. He is the sole survivor, living with back injuries and constant pain, yet determined to represent the group and his sister Barbara Lambert in Berkeley California. Cooke, once a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer script writer, recalls his fellow volunteers from across the United States who traveled to Britain for duty before U.S. entry.
