Plane vibration snaps antenna in Amarillo home

Early today in Amarillo three fast pursuit planes flew over at low altitude. The vibration from their motors snapped an outside radio antenna at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford W. Robinson located at 312 East 15th Avenue.

Pilots and forces arrive in large convoy to Northern Ireland

United States Army officials disclose arrival of fresh American pilots ground crews and troops in northern Ireland aboard a large convoy. The ships carried thousands of men and equipment and included a corps of nurses. A colonel praised the pilots as among the best.

Resist Enemy In Philippines Continues Despite Losses

OWI reports continued resistance against Japan in the Philippines. On July 19 Japanese detachments conducted house to house searches in Greater Manila for firearms radios and printing equipment and offered rewards for information leading to seizures. On July 8 authorities prohibited political societies and assemblies, alleging obstruction of reconstruction.
