IRO to Study DP Resettlement in Amarillo Area
International Refugee Organization plans a week long investigation in Amarillo to document resettlement of displaced persons. Ruth Safran, US IRO deputy director of public information, will visit with sponsor families and the photographer Edward Simson to interview and photo graph new residents. Results will be shared with U.S. magazines and foreign media. Amarillo is one of several cities on a 30 day field trip.
