Two Men Hurt In High Speed Wreck On Route 66
Amarillo two men were seriously injured in a head on collision on Highway 66 in front of the Veterans Hospital. Earl Bennett of 1910 Van Buren and Amos Hudson of 406 Florida were alone in their cars. Witnesses said one car tried to pass another and struck the oncoming vehicle. They were taken to Northwest Texas Hospital by N S Griggs and Sons ambulance. Bennett had chest and eye injuries and multiple leg fractures while Hudson was unconscious and in critical condition.
