No Hangover Whiskey Venture Fails Before Government
Dr Frank Shipman of Brown Foreman in Louisville, a chemistry professor turned distiller, claims enriched whiskey with vitamins prevents hangovers. Government rules bar labeling and deem whiskey must remain whiskey, halting his patent and regulatory hopes. His trials started in Louisville and led to repeated Washington hearings without approval. His vitamin method remains unapproved and controversial, despite claims of a hangover free result. Meanwhile, Phillips University announces dean's honor roll picks, including Harry Melendy.
