Hoover Moves to Temporary White House Office
President Hoover established a temporary headquarters at the state war and navy building in a large suite to oversee the restoration of the White House executive offices. The office, formerly used by Navy secretaries and later General Pershing, will allow him to potentially occupy the space tomorrow and minimize disruption for callers at the living quarters.
