A streetcar incident injured others as a negress Eleanor Adams died in Houston after a vehicle strike. Three men were killed when a stunt airplane failed to complete a loop and crashed in Dunn North Carolina yesterday. Alton Stewart of Coats NC owned the plane, Worth Stephenson of Angier NC was the student pilot, and Hugh Mierce of Angier NC was a passenger.
Roy Morrison of Los Angeles was released from Santa Cruz county jail after authorities concluded fingerprints did not match the Chicago gangster Fred Burke. Morrison had been detained Christmas in Nogales on suspicion of being Burke, the reputed machine gunner blamed for the St Valentine’s Day massacre.

Rev. H. J. Hofer of Price Memorial College and Rev. Joseph Wonderly of White Deer left yesterday for Hutchinson Kansas via Wichita on the Western Air Express liner. They expect to return in a few days probably by air.

The first winter camp for Amarillo Boy Scouts opens tomorrow in Ceta Canyon led by Chief Marvin Paul and Scoutmaster Ervin Slay. Eight teen boys have signed on. activities include Indian sign language, dancing, cross country hiking, night games, axeman ship, cookery, backwoods meals, and outdoor tests. Camp lasts to December 30 with visitor access for parents.
Four people are hospitalized and sixteen others slightly hurt after a box car rolled free in the Santa Fe yards at Sweetwater Texas. A wind-driven box car struck an oil tank car on the lead, overturning it and driving into two Pullman coaches as train No 95 from Amarillo entered the yards at 1 am The near detrainment of many passengers in the aisle helped keep injuries from being more serious.
Fire discovered early today caused several thousand dollars of damage to three businesses on Main Street. It started at the rear of a barber shop and spread to the H and H Cafe and Gordon's Store, with most loss from water and smoke.
In Jerome Arizona a father gave a shotgun for Christmas triggering a bitter grief. Vivian Smith aged 14 grabbed the gun while admiring it and was fatally wounded when it discharged. The tragedy occurred as the sister reached to see the gift.
Three men riding in a car near Castle Oklahoma were killed when the vehicle struck a pole, bringing down a high tension line. The men, uninjured in the wreck, were inspecting the automobile when the fatal contact occurred.
In Smiths Grove Kentucky on December 26 guards pursued a band of robbers after they killed Robert Kirby the cashier during a bank hold up at Oakland Bank. The robbers fled on foot into hills north of town as 200 to 300 citizens with officers joined the search, with about $1000 taken.
In St Louis Missouri authorities investigate the death of a two year old black and white fox terrier found emaciated with eight stitches sealing its mouth near Mullanphy Hospital. A $250 reward grows as officers seek the cruel perpetrator and charges could bring up to one year in prison and a $500 fine.
