Amarillo to Assess Street Improvements on Fourteenth Street
The city commissioners of Amarillo Texas propose to assess the cost of curb and most of the paving on a portion of Fourteenth Street from Jackson Street east to the alley between Jackson and Van Buren. The owners will be notified to attend a hearing set for January 1 1924 at City Hall to contest or agree to the assessment. The costs include paving and curb, with payments due over five years plus eight percent interest. The measure is declared an emergency and takes effect upon passage.
