He has 200 flight hours and can fly government planes. He spoke on aviation and asked about talkies, noting flying basics and weather.
The House Irrigation Committee instructed Chairman Smith to call the Swing Johnson Boulder canyon dam bill on Tuesday and seek House approval of Senate amendments. The move follows reports from Washington that the measure faces Senate changes.

In Prescott Arizona on December 17 a Santa Claus delivering Wagoner area gifts died when his car plunged into a ravine during a snowstorm. He whispered for the children to stay happy as rescuers found companions injured nearby.
After an all night search the body of Alfred Janecek age 5 was recovered. Earlier the bodies of Mrs Josephine Janecek 24 and her infant son Joe were found downstream from the overturned car in a Birdville creek near Fort Worth. James Janecek the husband was uninjured and had tried to lift the car from water.
London reports the king can speak briefly and has repeatedly asked for his two absent sons as his condition improves. An intimate tickroom description was provided by a reliable source.
Buckingham Palace reported King George continued to show favorable signs today. Officials noted the king is holding his own and a slight improvement from Sunday persists. A period of natural sleep last night contributed to the progress as the morning bulletin states he had a fair night.

Four people drowned and property losses estimated at 250000 resulted from a downpour that dropped 4.18 inches of rain. The Trinity River rose to crest about 35 feet, flooding lowlands while a bridge near Handley washed out cutting traffic between Dallas and Fort Worth.
