CLAIM 90 000 GERMANS IN RED PRISONS
An anti Soviet underground group says East Germany has jailed at least 50 000 people as dangerous to the regime. They list 24 200 jailed for political activity, 10 000 political-criminal, 8 000 economic saboteurs, and 8 000 awaiting judgment, with none in a promised amnesty of 20 000 prisoners. The amnesty has faded from public notice. The group traces names of about 75 000 arrested by police or the Soviet MVD in the east zone. Also, a Dec 13 party is planned for Sen. Tom Connally and wife in Marlin, with no formality or speakers.
