Jail couple held on burglary and forged check charges
A man and woman and a 3 year old child are in custody after the July 31 Vega Miller Implement Company burglary. Darlene Whorton faced forged instrument charges and Fred L Whorton alias Fred L Jones faced burglary charges. The pair allegedly passed a $62 check using Miller Equipment Co name, signed J P Miller, and forged checks totaling up to $65. They were arrested after an Ohio license number led deputies to a Vega tourist court stay with another man. Bond set at $1000 for the woman.
