Shaeffer cartridge pens were distributed by Shepperd's Jewelers to Alpine City members and Sul Ross State College faculty totaling 105 units. The event included homecoming ceremonies with Old Timers introductions, prayers led by Rev. S M Mims, and short speeches by Morrison and Chief Robt Goombi. Fort Davis residents attended and praised the celebration.
