Rifle Shoot For Juniors Stated
The Big Bend Sportsman's Club will sponsor a small bore rifle shooting contest for junior members in November. Open to current juniors and to boys or girls ages 10 to 19 who wish to join. Contests held Saturdays at 3 pm at the club range on Highway 90 west of town starting October 27. Lessons cover safety. no entry fee, only shells and gun. Prizes for scores and medals for various marksmen levels. Non-members may join now for $1 annually by contacting secretary Joe Brady. Game Warden Sanford De Voll will conduct the shooting with an assistant.

River Road Gains Council Backing Across Texas
The International Good Neighbor Council backed River Road from Study Butte in Brewster County to Presidio in Presidio County.
