Hospital Board Chosen After Long Interviews
After two days of extensive interviews in February 1957 the Brewster County Commissioners selected a six member Memorial Hospital Board Forrest Walter Minor Smith Barton Ornock H Hernandez Jones Crawford and Earl Clark The group agreed to be backed by the Commissioners and to travel for hospital study and staff recruitment John Stuckwish was appointed administrator and moved to Alpine to begin staffing and operations as the hospital prepared for an October 1 1957 opening
