The Pilot club of Alpine met on Saturday October 9 in the Rose room of the Holland hotel with twenty six members present Marie Sheppard was welcomed as a new member Henry Bailey offered his new building for a Pioneer dance and tickets will go on sale soon Also a hooked rug donated by Margaret Cross will be given away December 18 Mac Ament donated a turkey for Thanksgiving A club float was agreed for the School carnival parade A program meeting is set for October 23 at 1 PM in the Holland hotel Autumn bridge at Vernon McIntyre home featured fifteen tables with prizes for several players and a varied guest list Social notes include Mrs Helen Gibbs hosting bridge in honor of her sister Mrs W B Hicks with autumn decor and prize winners credited to Mrs Emmett DeVolin and Mrs Avora Owens.

Halloween Parade Plans Reviewed by Local Club
Plans for the annual Halloween parade and the study class were discussed. Mrs W M McAnulty will chair the float committee with aides Mrs Oliver Theophilus Mrs Tommy Barrow and Mr Anna Hayslip. Hostesses included Mrs F Etheredge Mrs J Casparis and Mrs Oliver Theophilus. Prizes went to Miss Smith for high score and Mrs Clanton for second high.
