Deer Die Mystery In Big Bend Park Basin
More than 125 deer have died in the mile high basin of the Chisos mountains in the last month. Dr. Ross A. Maxwell says the pattern points to contaminated water as a likely cause while Sonoran and fan tail deer are affected. Viscera samples were sent to Texas A&M. no unusual findings. Authority teams are attempting to capture additional ill deer for veterinary observation.
