A search party found him near Terlingua about a mile from where he left. Alpine telephone office switches are being reworked under Lloyd Lancaster of Fort Worth equipment supervisor. The work precedes a toll center to be erected by Southwestern Bell. Parade Delights Highlight Second Annual Fort Davis Event
The Saturday celebration drew crowds with buffalo meat barbecue from the X Ranch herd and displays by Anadarko and Gallup Indian groups. Odessa College's 20 member dessa Girls Parade drill team impressed with white satin blouses and blue skirts. Fort Davis School band led the dawn march as Revile called the soldiers awake.

Gulf Drills at 787 Feet as Sun Oil Fishes for Tools
Gulfs No 1 Combs, a mile southeast of Marathon, was drilling at 787 feet in line and shale. Sun's No 1 McElroy in southwestern Brewster County was fishing for tools at about 6900 feet. The Gulf well had 473 feet of 3 percent surface set, and drillers reported difficulty drilling a straight hole due to the formation.
