New Catholic Group Formed in West Texas Deanery
Mrs James McSherry of Alpine was elected recording Secretary of the new West Texas Deanery Council of Catholic Women formed Oct 1 at St Catherine's Parish Hall Pecos. The deanery includes Pecos Alpine Marfa Van Horn Fort Davis and other towns with 62 members attending a luncheon at The Spanish Inn.

The Texas Division of the American Cancer Society held its District One annual meeting in Pecos on Friday October 4.
